EVENT INFORMATION

Most events are on Mondays and run from 7.15pm for a 7.30pm start, and finish at 9.30pm. Visitors welcome – £5 admission.

We meet in The Gantry, part of The Edge at the rear of Alderbrook School, Blossomfield Road, Solihull, B91 1SN.

Our main Programme runs from September to June. However we run day art classes and events throughout the year. Please check the Easel Newsletter for these events or email us directly. Some of these are available to members only.

Sketching evening - still life and/or figure drawing

Andrew Field will demonstrate a landscape in oils.

September 23rd

A critical appraisal evening with Terence Clarke.

October 7th

Winter Workshops

These are held in The Gantry at Alderbrook School, Blossomfield Road, Solihull B91 1SN from 10:30am - 3:30pm

Summer Painting Days

 

We have held the first of our Summer painting days at Birmingham Botanical Gardens, details are given below of the remaining plein air painting days for this summer.  Come along and enjoy the fresh air and chat, as well as some good weather!

Monday 10th June
Knowle Park
Free car park off London Road, pond to paint next to car park.
No toilet facilities or cafe.  Bring packed lunch or stay for morning only.

Friday 5th July
Akamba Heritage Garden Centre, Tythe Barn Lane, Shirley B90 1PH
African themed garden centre in two acres.  Exuberant foliage and some life-like animals.  Restaurant and toilets available.

Thursday 18th July
Manor Farm, Chadwick Lane, Chadwick End
Wonderful garden surrounded by fields with sheep.  Toilet available.  Bring lunch.

Wednesday 21st August
Garden of Sandy Andrews, Bracken Cote, Foreshore Heath Road, Earlswood B94 5JU
(Almost opposite Earlswood Garden Centre)
An extensive garden that is open for the National Garden Scheme, we are asked to pay £5 towards the charity.  Toilet available.  Bring lunch.

Tuesday 10th September 
Kingswood Junction.  Car park is first on the left in Brome Hall Lane, Lapworth B94 5 QZ
Marina, canals, canal buildings, toilet in car park, bring lunch.

All start at 10.30am and finish at 3.30pm. 

A toilet is available at each venue
